Surgery Overview
Our furry friend Brandy, a 13-year-old Maltipoo, came in for a check-up after her family noticed new lumps near her nipples. One lump had been there since birth, but two more appeared about a month ago. During her exam, Dr. Lee discovered a mammary gland mass and an inguinal hernia. Brandy also hadn’t been spayed, which is a significant risk factor—mammary tumors are unfortunately common in older, unspayed females.
Brandy underwent a major surgery to remove the mass, repair the hernia, and perform a spay. We’re happy to report everything went smoothly, and she’s now in the healing process, getting lots of love and care. We’re proud of this strong girl and grateful to her family for acting quickly and trusting us with her care.
