This 8-year-old Samoyed previously underwent TPLO surgery on her left hind leg. Months later, she returned with lameness in the right hind limb. X-rays confirmed another CCL(cranial cruciate ligament) rupture, and she underwent a second TPLO surgery.
Dogs that tear the CCL in one leg have a 22–30% chance of injuring the other leg within a few years. Early diagnosis and treatment can help them stay comfortable and active.🐾
The good news: her surgery and recovery went very well, and she’s back to her happy, tail-wagging self again
