Mass Removal – Terrier

Mass Removal – Terrier

A Terrier mix came in for evaluation of a growing mass on his lip 🐾

The owner was unsure how long it had been present, but noticed it had gradually increased in size over the past month. To better understand the mass, we performed cytology.

The mass was diagnosed as a plasma cell tumor, a type of tumor arising from immune cells. In dogs, these are commonly found in the skin or oral tissues and are usually benign. However, they can continue to grow locally and may recur if not completely removed.

Given these factors, we recommended surgical removal.
We’re happy to report that the mass removal surgery went very well, and he is now recovering comfortably
