TPLO – Poodle Mix

From Limping to Recovery: A TPLO Success Story

A limp that comes and goes can sometimes signal a more serious problem.

Our 9-year-old Poodle mix was brought in after experiencing intermittent limping on his left hind leg. This time, the limp had persisted for about a week and a half, and his owner also noticed trembling in the affected leg.

X-rays revealed a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), commonly referred to as the ACL in humans. To stabilize his knee, our team performed a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) on his left hind leg.

The surgery was successful, and he has since made a full recovery! We’re so happy to see him doing well again. Thank you to his family for trusting Lee Animal Hospital with his care!
