This sweet 4-year-old Cane Corso mix came to us after his owner noticed him limping on his back right leg and struggling to walk. He also became defensive when anyone touched or approached the affected leg, likely because of the pain he was experiencing.
X-rays revealed two orthopedic conditions affecting the same leg: a ligament tear and patellar luxation, both contributing to his discomfort and difficulty walking.
Because both conditions needed to be addressed, our surgical team performed TPLO surgery and patellar luxation correction during the same procedure.
It was a long and complex surgery, but he did incredibly well throughout the procedure! We’re so happy to see him on the road to recovery and hope to see him back on all four paws soon.
We’re proud to provide the specialized surgical care our patients need to get back to doing what they love most — being active, comfortable, and happy!
