Puppy & Kitten Wellness Care

Puppy & Kitten Wellness Care

Having a new pet is an exciting time. Just like a new baby, they grow and change so quickly! You want to start your puppy or kitten’s life off on the right paw, but knowing what’s best for your new pet can be confusing. There’s a lot of information out there, and not all of it is trustworthy. We’re ready to help with all your puppy and kitten wellness care needs!

Lee Animal Hospital provides transparent pricing and comprehensive care for puppies and kittens, including:

Examinations

During their first year, your puppy or kitten will need an exam every three to four weeks until they are about five to six months old.  Puppies and kittens grow fast; if there are any developmental issues, we want to catch them immediately so they can be addressed. We’ll monitor your pet’s growth, ensure everything is developing properly, and answer any questions you have along the way.

Vaccinations

Young animals do not have much immunity from disease, making it extremely important to get their vaccinations on schedule. Some vaccines are required by law, some are recommended for all pets, and some are recommended depending on your pet’s lifestyle and level of risk. We’ll figure out the best vaccine schedule for your new fur baby.

Parasite Testing, Treatment, and Prevention

One of the most common problems in young kittens and puppies is parasites—everything from intestinal parasites to fleas, ticks, and ear mites. Screening and treating puppies and kittens for parasites is essential to growing up healthy.

Training and Behavioral Consultation

Whether this is your very first pet or you are a veteran pet parent, the new puppy or kitten you have just adopted is a fresh start! We can provide advice, tips, and even trainer recommendations to enable you to raise a well-mannered pet that can join your pack and enhance your family’s life.

Spay and Neuter

Dogs and cats mature very quickly and can become parents themselves well before they’re even a year old. Spaying and neutering prevent unwanted litters and have significant health benefits for your pet. We’ll help determine the right time for your pet to be spayed or neutered and can perform these procedures here in our state-of-the-art surgical suite.
